A fantastic night at Northumberland FA  Grassroots Awards. A superb evening to recognise so many people who give up their time for grassroots football in the North East.

It was a proud night for the club as our U9 & U10 Blues team coach Ryan Blake picked up coach of the year for the male pathway. Ryan also runs the clubs successful Gareth Whittaker Development Centre each Saturday morning, which has provided a pathway into football for thousands of local children over the past decade. Well done Ryan.

Our club chairman Rob Nixon also picked up the coach of the year for the female pathway. Rob is currently coaching with our U8 Pumas and U13 Lionesses teams as well as overseeing Wildcats each Sunday. We are running 25 female teams this season as well as a senior womans team for the very first time.

Both were humbled by the awards and a huge thank you to everyone who nominated both of them. It's amazing accolade for Ryan and Rob as well as the club to pick up two such prestigious awards.
